Hope Mustangs take down the Farmville Patriots in the first round of the conference tournament 62-56. 

Hope was led by KJ McLawhorn with 27 pts.  Jeremiah Brown followed with 14 pts and Laettner Whitaker with 10 pts.

Hope will take on AG Cox in the conference championship game Monday 2/10 at AG Cox.

Hope got out to a great start and took a 32-4 lead into halftime.

Farmville made adjustments and charged back into the game in the 2nd half.  Hope held on to get the 40-29 win.  Hope is 10-1 overall and 6-1 in conference play.  Hope was led by KJ McLawhorn with 12 pts and LJ Mills with 11pts.  Hope will return to action on January 23^rd at CM Eppes.

The Hope Mustangs move to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in conference play with a 53-48 win over the Farmville Patriots.

After a slow start Hope was able to take a 21-18 half time lead.  Hope maintained a 8-10 point lead majority of the 2^nd half.  4 missed free throws allowed Farmville narrow the led in the final minutes.  Hope had 2 big blocks to seal the victory.  LJ Mills led scoring with 15 pts followed by KJ McLawhorn with 14 pts and Jeremiah “Duke” Brown with 12 pts.  Laettner Whitaker and Jeremiah “Duke” Brown were instrumental in rebounding the ball for Hope.

The Mustangs had a dominant first half against the PS Jones Demons going into half time with a 39-7 lead.  The first half lead allowed all of Hope players to play in the 2^nd half leading to a 48-29 win.  KJ McLawhorn led the way with 24 pts followed by Justin McCrary, LJ Mills, and Jeremiah Brown all with 6 each.

After a sluggish start the Hope Boys came back and the game was locked up at 29.

Jeremiah Brown saved the ball from going out of  bounds to KJ McLawhorn who scored with 2 seconds left to lead the Mustangs 31-29 over a good Darden MS team. KJ McLawhorn lead the Mustangs with 13 points. He was followed by Justin McCray 5
