ECU Health Radiology Night
ECU Health presents Radiology Night. This in-person event for 9th-12th grade students will be held on Monday, November 3rd, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at the ECU Health Medical Center Main Auditorium. Students will hear from ECU Health Radiology staff presenting on Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Diagnostic, and Vascular modalities. Students will be split into groups to take a tour of one of these radiology areas. We strongly encourage HSA students interested in a career in Radiology to take advantage of this opportunity.

Dress Code: Students who receive a confirmation of attendance are to dress in pants (no shorts, leggings, or holes), tennis shoes (no open-toe shoes), and a school-appropriate shirt.

HSA is excited to offer ECU Kinesiology Night as a career exploration event for our HSA students. This event is presented by the ECU Department of Kinesiology. Students will participate in an information session that includes descriptions of the undergraduate programs and lab tours. See below for a description of the programs.
ECU Kinesiology Night is open to 9th-12th-grade HSA students. This event will be held on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm at East Carolina University. We strongly encourage HSA students interested in a career in Kinesiology and Sports Medicine to take advantage of this opportunity!

This event has a limit on the number of participants who can attend. Students will receive an email confirmation with logistical details if they have a seat.

BS in Exercise Physiology (two concentrations: Applied Exercise Physiology and Pre-Health). This degree is a common pathway for undergraduates who wish to pursue careers in allied health care professions for graduate school.

BS in Physical Education and Coaching Sciences: The PE track leads to licensure, while the coaching sciences track is new and includes coaching and officiating.

BS in Sports Performance Science (new in fall 2025!): This degree program will prepare students to work in the broad field of sport science. Any Health Sciences Academy student who doesn't want to work specifically in healthcare but loves the STEM fields may be attracted to this degree program.

Minor in Strength and Conditioning: This minor is attractive to students as it prepares them to sit for the national certification exam in strength and conditioning.
