Pitt County Schools currently employs School Psychologists trained in providing
comprehensive services across the span of ages and the unique needs of our schools and
students. Our School Psychologists partner with families, teachers, and administrators
to assist in producing positive outcomes for students in all aspects of their educational
experiences through consultation, collaboration, data-based decision making, and
problem solving. School Psychologists strive to create safe, healthy, and supportive
learning environments for all students while supporting collaborative connections
between home and school.

***Pitt County Schools is currently accepting applications for NC DPI Licensed School Psychologists. Pitt County increased its sign-on bonus for new teachers hired for the 2022-23 school year, beginning with a minimum of $2,500 and ranging to $4,000 for certain priority schools and Exceptional Children (EC) positions within the system. The Exceptional Children's Department is providing an additional $2000 Psychology signing bonus for any School Psychologist that signs with a one year contract for the 23-24 school year. Our School Psychologists also receive grant-funded reimbursement of annual professional association dues.
