The Parents’ Guide to Student Achievement is a resource for parents, legal guardians, and legal custodians to gain a better understanding of our school system. By providing this information, we hope to provide every parent, legal guardian and legal custodian with information that helps children succeed in school. Overall, the Guide provides a comprehensive overview to the academic programs and supports offered to students in Pitt County Schools, but it has a few limitations.
The Parents’ Guide to Standards of Conduct to Support School Safety & Annual Notices is a resource for parents, legal guardians, and legal custodians to better understand our school system’s practices to maintain an orderly and safe learning environment and rights that parents have with regard to their child’s education. Overall, the Guide provides a comprehensive overview to basic practices and rules that support maintaining an orderly and safe learning environment in Pitt County Schools, but it has a few limitations.
The information in both Guides is not intended to and shall not supersede the policies of the North Carolina State Board of Education or Pitt County Board of Education. If anything in these Guides conflicts with these policies, the polices control. The Guides are “living” documents and subject to change, without prior notice, if laws or policies change or Pitt County Schools makes modifications to programming. The most current version of the Guides will always be available at www.pittschools.org. The term parent is defined to include legal guardians and custodians in both publications.
