  • NCCU 2025 Summer Immersion Experience in Biotech

    NC Central is currently accepting applications for our two-week residential program designed for rising 11th and 12th graders passionate about STEM. Students will gain hands-on experience in biotechnology, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy and receive a $1,000 stipend upon successful completion.

    IMPORTANT SENIOR DUE DATES!

    Senior Trip (Orlando, Florida - April 4 - April 7, 2025) - $100.00 Deposit needed by December 6, 2024. (The deposit will hold your seat and help determine how many will be going and the total cost for the trip). Once we get a final count of the number of students that will be going, you will receive a total cost of the trip.

    The FAFSA Connects Students to Resources to Pay For College.

    You read that right – the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is open and ready for your students to apply. Colleges and universities use the FAFSA to determine how much financial aid students are eligible to receive, including grants, scholarships, work-study funds, and loans. Encourage your students to take time during their holiday break to get started!

    NC College Connect
     
    You may have received a letter in the mail explaining that you are eligible for NC College Connect. There are five (5) or six (6) colleges/universities:
    Elizabeth City State University, Fayetteville State University, Winston-Salem State University, UNC- Pembroke, UNC-Asheville and maybe UNC-Greensboro are participating in this program where there is a simplified application. You must have a weighted GPA of 2.8 or higher. The questions are name/email address, NC student number, and intended major/start term. There is an application fee unless you apply during Free Application Week or you are eligible to receive a Fee Waiver.
